about JLB Collars
Hi, my name is Jenna, I am the owner/creator of JLB Collars and Accessories.
After leaving my old job in a dog daycare back in December 2019, tired of working for someone else's dream, I was set to jet off traveling for the summer (we all know how 2020 played out).
August 2020 - with my plans canceled and nowhere (in the canine industry at least) taking on new applications - I had the crazy idea of starting a dog business of my own. So at the age of 19 I became a small business owner!
I began with just handmade collars and leads, 2021 saw the addition of natural treats and finally being able to make it to markets.
Alongside the business, I study Canine behaviour with the hopes to one day be a fully qualified behaviourist, this has given me a more in-depth knowledge of how nutrition impacts our four-legged companions behaviour.
Everything about this business is inspired by our family Black Labrador, Monty, even my logo is of his paw!
From the collars to the treats and everything in-between there is nothing in my shop that I wouldn't comfortably give to/use on my own dogs, after all they are family.
2022 finally saw me embarking on my travel adventures - working in America for the summer and again in 2023.
Late 2022 saw the family addition for Rosie, a field line Labrador, another very willing product tester. She is helping to keep Monty feeling young and is the perfect case study for my Canine behaviour work.
2024 saw a focus on events and streamlining our range of products.
We are devastated to announce that our beloved Monty crossed the rainbow bridge in October 2025, he is the reason JLB Collars exists and his loss has left a big hole in all of our hearts. I was privileged to learn so much about dog behaviour from working with him, a boy who would turn off his ears and follow his nose, who taught me the power of silence when training, I'm so glad Rosie got to grow up around him and genuinely believe that she would be a completely different dog had she not have had his influence - even if he did teach her to hover around when I'm doing a stock take to get extra treats.

Pet blood doner, registered therapy dog (TDN), the scariest bark and the softest heart. Forever would not have been long enough with him, but we were lucky to have him by our sides for so long. Run free "Big Guy" I hope you find the all the stinky puddles your heart could desire!
